Green Loans

29 09 2009

Each year the average Australian household contributes around 13 tonnes of greenhouse gas to the atmosphere—
enough to fill more than 700 balloons a day. Each household also draws an average of 73,000 buckets of water a
year. That’s enough for around 12 baths a day.
Increasingly, Australians are looking for ways to stop wasting resources, save money on household bills, make their
homes more comfortable, and help protect our environment.
The Australian Government’s Green Loans Program is funding free home sustainability assessments (valued at over
$250) to identify how to save energy, water and greenhouse gas emissions. It is also subsidising Green Loans of
up to $10,000 interest-free for up to four years, for householders to make the recommended improvements. The
free home sustainability assessment is the first step to qualify for a Green Loan.
Taking advantage of the Green Loans Program involves three easy steps:
Step 1: Book your free home sustainability assessment at  www.greenplanes.com.au
Step 2: Receive your tailored home sustainability assessment report
Step 3: Choose which of the recommended actions you will take to improve your home.
